Another in a series of stories hinting that singles are kind of lonely people - but note the story says pet ownership is beginning to catch up with family ownership of pets. I may be extra sensitive, but I do believe media tend to portray singles as lonely, anti-soclal, or at the other end of the spectrum, desperate for a mate.
